Starting in June 2018 and working thru November 2019, Progress Environmental performed abatement in 66 buildings at the historic Barry Farm as part of The Barry Farm Redevelopment Project. As part of the New Communities Initiative, it will be redeveloped into a mixed-use, mixed-income community. Barry Farm is conveniently located amid a hub of transit activity, adjacent to two arterial highways: Interstate 295, and Suitland Parkway, as well as the Anacostia Metro Station. The neighborhood is also in close proximity to a cultural center, as well as many public facilities including schools and the new Barry Farm Recreation Center.
